Who is the SINNERS meeting for?

 

This meeting is a bi-annual gathering to bring together labs interested in social insects. The SINNER meeting serves as an informal venue to Foster collaborations and exchange ideas.

 

Previous meetings were hosted by the Swarm Lab at NJIT, the Kronauer Lab at Rockefeller University, the Laboratory of Shelley Berger at the University of Pennsylvania, the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior and the Department of Entomology at Cornell University, the Traniello Lab and Department of Biology at Boston University, and the Seid Lab at the University of Scranton. The upcoming sixth meeting will be hosted by the Hughes Lab at Pennsylvania State University .

SINNERS 7 will be held the morning of Saturday, June 4th to the afternoon of Sunday, June5th.

What will the meeting consist of?

 

Full Talks

Full talks will consist of a 15 minute presentation followed by 5 minutes for questions. 

 

Lightning Talks

Lightning talks are 5 minute presentations with limited slides that introduce an idea or small portion of research. 

 

Human-poster session

Used as a casual icebreaker, posters are made from a PDF with an image or graph sent before the conference. The poster session will occur during a cocktail hour preceding dinner.
